Chanukah
Chanukah is a joyous celebration for us! Yes it commemorates an important historical event in Jewish history but, we celebrate it with the knowledge that Yeshua, our Kinsman Redeemer, was also conceived at this feast. Life begins at conception by Jewish reckoning and Chanukah is nine months from Feast of Tabernacles, the time at which Yeshua was born.
Chanukah is also the celebration of rededication to living a life pleasing to our Heavenly Father, reminding us to let Yeshua's Light shine through us to the glory of The Father.
We have an inside Chanukah menorah and we made a large plastic candle menorah for the outside. We follow the tradition of adding a light each night, not taking one away. At the last night of Chanukah, we have light, glorious light! This reminds us of Yeshua being THE LIGHT of and to the world. Since Chislev 25 and the seven days following will always be at the time of the darkness of the new moon, we delight in The Light that Chanukah brings!
